OUR MISSION
We are a small nanny consulting firm located in the heart of New York City and founded on the principle of providing the highest level of customer satisfaction through top nanny placements. We opened for business in January 2008 as a travel boutique—offering high-end clients their choice of college educated nannies—but have since evolved into a full service nanny firm. We offer our clients an array of travel nanny services as well as permanent placements and last-minute care.
At Nanny Traveler, we value our nannies and embrace them as professionals who deserve the utmost respect. We partner with other childcare firms across the nation to push for industry standards that promote better working conditions (maximum labor hours, increased wages & overtime pay, health benefits) and professionalism through education. We understand the importance of having an educated nanny on staff—someone who is able to take care of a child’s physical needs as well as assist the parents with age-appropriate learning, boundaries, and positive reinforcement. Through caregiver seminars and continuing education programs, our candidates are among the top in their field.
OUR STAFF
Our staff has experience working with all types of families (married, divorced families, single-parent families, gay parent families, adoptive families, grandparents raising kids) and takes pride in being able to cater to individual needs. Many of our clients are high-end executives who require the assistance of a sophisticated multi-tasking professional who is both proactive and resourceful. We understand the importance of having a proficient staff and strive to find the perfect nanny for each and every one of our clients.
We continue to exceed industry expectations by requiring that all candidates working with our firm have a minimum of an associates degree and/or nanny certification as well as 3+ years of childcare experience. We prefer candidates who have a teaching or nursing background and who have shown longevity in the field of childcare. Our consultants have a history of rejecting applicants who do not meet the minimum criteria or who only want short-term employment. We are serious about finding our clients committed caregivers who seek childcare as a profession and not just a paycheck.
