Nanny Traveler understands the importance of finding the perfect nanny for your family, but we also recognize that the process can be overwhelming at times. Our family consultants work one on one with our customers to ensure that a nanny placement is as painless as possible. Our consultations are simple and take the stress out of hiring a caregiver.

Although we accommodate most of our clients by performing online or telephone consultations, we do offer in-home consultations as well. This method involves having one of our experienced consultants come to your home and go over the application process with you. We will sit down with your family and thoroughly discuss all of your possibilities. We will ask specific questions about your family including names and ages of children, hobbies, likes/dislikes, disciplinary methods, scheduling, dietary restrictions, special needs, allergies, and required medications. A consultant will also discuss client contract, referral fees, caregiver qualifications, job descriptions, required specialties, salary & benefits, and any other questions you may have.

After our initial consultation, we will create a profile for your family and begin looking for a caregiver that best matches your family’s needs. This process is subjective in nature and may take as little as 24 hours or as long as four weeks. The most important thing to remember during this process is that we are looking for the ideal nanny to care for your children. Once a suitable candidate has been located, a profile will be sent via email for your review. (Most clients will receive multiple profiles.) A consultant will evaluate all profiles with your family prior to setting up nanny interviews. After the interviewing process is over, your family will choose the candidate that best reflects your caregiver needs. Rest assured, we will be there to assist you through the entire process, answering any questions you may have, and helping you put together your family/nanny contract. If for any reason your family is unsatisfied with the nanny placement [within 90 days of start date], we will assist you in finding a suitable replacement without an additional referral fee.

Free Background Checks

We know that our children are our most precious resource and that it is our responsibility as a community to protect their wellbeing. That is why we thoroughly screen all our nanny candidates. Each caregiver is required to undergo an extensive interviewing process as well as pass a thorough investigation performed by a private licensed investigator from the McDowell Agency. Our clients have peace of mind knowing that our nanny referrals have been carefully screened prior to hire. As a courtesy to our clients, a free five-point investigation is included in our referral fee (one per placement) which includes a USA Criminal Index Search, County Courts Search, Motor Vehicle Reports, Social Security Trace and Sex Offender Registry Search. An upgraded search is available for an additional fee. We pride ourselves on continuously exceeding industry expectations by providing superior service to our clients.

Training Course

As a courtesy to our clients, we offer a discounted training course for all fulltime nannies placed by our consulting firm. This 10-hour course is provided by the PCT Institute and discusses nanny and newborn care specialist roles, child development, child/infant care, CPR, disciplinary methods, scheduling, household management, and many other topics.
